General Information

What is the capacity of the barn venue?

Our barn can accommodate up to 120 guests for both the ceremony and wedding breakfast, and a further 80 guests for the evening celebration.

Is the venue available year-round?

Yes, the barn is available for weddings year-round.

Are there minimum guest numbers?

Yes, the minimum number of wedding breakfast guests is 80 on a Saturday and 60 on a Wednesday.

What days does Elms Barn host?

As a 3 day exclusive wedding venue we only host weddings on a Wednesday or Saturday. This gives you all of the day before and day after to relax and enjoy your wedding your way. 

Booking & Payment

Can I provisionally hold a date?

Yes, we can hold any date for you for 7 days. After this point a deposit is required to secure your ideal date.

How can I book the venue?

Once you have come for a viewing and have decided we are the perfect place for you a deposit is required to secure your date. This deposit is 25% of your venue hire fee only!

What is your cancellation policy?

All deposits are non-refundable however we can work with you to move your date, there may be an additional charge depending on the new date you choose.

Decorations & Setup

Can we bring our own decorations?

Yes, you are welcome to bring personal decorations, all flowers must be created by our in house florist team. However, all decorations must be approved by our staff for safety reasons.

Are there any restrictions on music or noise levels?

We allow live bands and DJs, but music must comply with local noise ordinances, ending by midnight.

Additional Services

Do you provide wedding planning or coordination services?

Ruth is here throughout the entire planning process to help make things as simple for you as possible. Either Ruth or Sarah will be there on the day of your wedding as the day of coordinator so you do not need to worry about a thing, all you need to do is enjoy!

Is there an option for a Menu Tasting?

Yes, we host Sample Menu events for you to get a feel for the food we do and the service we offer. This is for booked couples only and dates will be emailed out to couples as they are planned. We do not offer one on one tastings if you wish to try the food you would have to come to a Sample event.

Can I get married outside?

Yes, you can get married in our fully licenced rose garden as long as the weather is on our side. As a licenced space in its own right you do not need a duo ceremony to do this.

What are the rental fees and what do they include?

Rental fees vary based on the season and day of the week. Included are the use of the barn, outdoor spaces, tables, chairs, red carpet, cake stand and knife.

When is the latest I can make changes to my wedding?

All details need to be confirmed a month out from your wedding date. We understand things happen and we will help where possible but after this point we cannot change the menu or add any extra guests.

Venue Features

Is there a backup plan for bad weather?

Yes, we have an indoor setup until we are sure things can go ahead outside. The heated marquee also provides a great breakout area if the weather means your guests would prefer to be inside while we turn the main barn around.

Can we have both the ceremony and reception at the venue?

Absolutely! Our venue is equipped to host both your ceremony and reception in beautiful settings.

Services & Amenities

Do you offer catering services?

We have a fantastic in house catering team who are here to make your wedding menu dreams come true.

Can I bring in my own caters?

The wedding breakfast needs to be provided by our in house team, we do not allow external caters in our kitchen. However in the evening we are happy to discuss external food truck catering.

Is there parking available for guests?

Yes, ample parking is available on-site for all guests.
