How They Met & The Perfect Proposal
Izzy and Sam first crossed paths at university in 2013 — though Izzy admits she quickly “friend-zoned” him! After a few dates (and plenty of Sam’s persistence), their chemistry blossomed. Studying the same subject meant long days and late nights together, and two years later, Izzy moved to Norwich. Three houses down the line, one little sausage dog called Winnie, and the question finally came.
A quiet beach at Overstrand in Norfolk became the scene of Sam’s heartfelt proposal:
“We got engaged at our favourite beach, with no one around. It was perfect.”

Rather than stick to a single hue, Izzy and Sam embraced a palette of earthy tones — anchored by Sam’s favourite burnt orange — balanced with candlelight and Teena’s wildflower arrangements.
“We wanted quirky features that showed off our personalities: beer pong, personalised cocktails, even multiple cake options!”

Bentley Ride: A peaceful drive across the grounds with her dad and brother gave Izzy a quiet moment before the ceremony, this moment often gets overlooked as it is only a few minutes but it can offer some quality calm time with whoever is walking your down the aisle and into your new life — “I really, really recommend it!”
Grand Entrance: Walking into their wedding breakfast to a uniquely chosen song felt like stepping into their own private party. They entered to none other than You Sexy Thing!
All-Night Dancing: “Me and Sam will always be on the dance floor at weddings — it was exactly the same at our own!”

When the Elms Barn team joined in on the dancing — even pausing their catering duties for a spin on the floor — guests couldn’t get enough.
