- Nothing says welcome to my festive wedding like a glass of mulled wine or cider or even a sparkling poinsettia cocktail.
- With nights getting longer fairy lights really get the chance to pop and in the barn on a dark evening having a cascade of fairy lights hanging from the rafters can be an amazing added touch.
- Fur can be such a luxury touch to add either to your outfit or as an extra to your décor. Adding a few faux fur throws to the sofas in the marquee can create an amazing cozy zone for those who don’t want to be on the dance floor in the evening or add onto the backs of some of the chairs for the wedding breakfast can help to keep everyone cozy. Even though the barn and marquee are fully heated some of your guests may run a little cold and need something extra fuzzy to help them along.
- Adding a bit of frosted Perspex as your wedding signage can help to add an icy look if you are hoping for something a little less red and green but still festive. You could also draw a little of this icy look into your invitations too as a great way to give your guests a sneak peek into your vibes.
- A very simple and classic way to bring in a festive feeling to the day. Adding firs, pine cones and mistletoe is a subtle way to bring in those motifs that everyone associates with the festive season.
- The winter wedding season is the perfect excuse to have a glitz and glamour dress code for your guests. Picture all your guests in sparkly gowns, velvet suits and accessorised to the max! Paired with fairy lights and that’s a recipe for one full on party vibe in the evening.
- Nothing says winter like a full on banquet with sharing platter in the middle of the tables as your guests sit down, a hearty roast for main with veg trivets in the centre of the table to create a talking point.
- Making your favours festive can be as easy as popping them inside a DIY Christmas Cracker! You can get natural crackers which you could customise with your wedding colours on the ribbon or a chalk pen writing your guests name on each of them meaning the crackers double up as their place setting. And having everyone pull their crackers before starters are served to one big crack and everyone donning festive party hats, fun glasses or sharing a joke or anecdote about you and your new spouse.
- Everyone loves to treat themselves around the festive season so why not have a boozy hot chocolate station, roasted chestnuts outside from a traditional vendor bringing all those Christmas market smells. A sweet cart full to the brim with candy canes and chocolate coins. All those things that your childhood self would love.
- Our in-house florists can create some stunning pieces so why not really lean into that with a large festive archway or an oversized wreath which can be hung from one of our doors or beams as a statement photo backdrop. The winter weather in the UK can be unpredictable so having a focal point for photos inside means whatever the weather there is a natural area for group photos alongside the huge Christmas Tree in the Barn.
